Global Commodities & Energy Trading Future Leaders Initiative (FLI)

WELCOME TO THE FUTURE LEADERS INITIATIVE! EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN COMMODITIES & ENERGY TRADING!

Through the Future Leaders Initiative, we aim to support exceptional students by offering Standard free passes to the brightest minds who are looking for a path into the energy and commodity trading world. These passes grant access to our prestigious Commodity and Energy Trading Week events, where students can network with industry professionals, gain valuable knowledge, and kickstart their careers in commodities and energy trading.

  • OUR MISSION

To utilise our global network, channels and neutrality to bring together students with an interest in commodity and energy markets with the wider industry, and with their other global peers.

  • OUR VISION

To support the commodities and energy sectors competitiveness as a place where future talent chose to deploy their talents, and build their careers.

LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

Commodities People' diverse team has a shared passion for the commodity, energy and environmental sectors.

As the Secretary General of the Future Leaders Initiative, I am dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in the commodities and energy trading industry. Our initiative, in partnership with esteemed student societies, provides students with unique learning opportunities and industry insights.

My passion for this initiative is deeply rooted in my personal background. Inspired by my sister, June Angelides MBE, who is dedicated to empowering women in tech, I have organized women's breakfast briefings to create platforms for women in the energy and commodity trading sectors. These briefings, along with collaborations with organizations like WISTA and Women in Energy Houston, have been instrumental in providing insights and fostering a supportive community for both men and women in the industry.
